Pool Area & Landscape Design
A complete Bonogin pool and outdoor-living landscape combining travertine crazy paving, curved corten steel, natural stone seating, timber and layered lighting.
The Project
The completed landscape around this freeform pool was designed as a complete outdoor setting rather than a paving-only upgrade. Travertine crazy paving, corten steel edging, stone retaining, timber decking, planted beds and feature lighting work together to give the pool, alfresco and front garden a shared visual language.
Design & Construction Approach
The pool surround was treated as part of a wider outdoor-living environment. Natural stone paving carries the eye around the water, while timber decking and the covered alfresco provide a contrasting, warmer surface for everyday use and entertaining.
Corten steel garden edges and walls create strong, curved lines through the planting. Stone retaining and integrated seating balance those contemporary elements with a tactile, natural finish that suits the property’s bushland outlook.
Feature wall lights, LED strip lighting and olive tree uplighting bring depth to the outdoor areas at night. The lighting is used to define the material changes and landscape layers rather than simply illuminate the pool.
Completed Scope
The Outcome
The finished Bonogin landscape gives the freeform pool a more resolved relationship with the alfresco, planting and entry. It feels equally considered in daylight and after dark, with every material contributing to the overall outdoor experience.
