Outdoor living planned around the view
The pool and entertaining spaces are positioned to support the broad valley outlook. Low visual elements such as glass fencing help keep the surrounding landscape present from the key outdoor zones.
Hinterland Pool & Outdoor Living
Currumbin Valley Pool & Fire Pit Retreat
A Currumbin Valley pool and fire pit retreat that uses a circular plunge pool, brick paving, slate steppers and corten steel to create an intimate entertaining landscape within a larger valley outlook.
The Project
A real Gold Coast landscape, built around the way the property is used.
The completed work brings together poolside relaxation, fire-focused entertaining and a planted pathway sequence. A circular plunge pool, brick-paved terrace, slate stepping stones, glass fencing and corten steel garden beds are composed to maintain sightlines to the surrounding hinterland while giving each outdoor area its own use and character.
Design & Construction Approach
One environment, considered in detail.
A circular pool and fire element as focal points
The circular plunge pool and fire bowl give the finished space two clear visual anchors. Brick paving provides a robust surface for entertaining, while the curved forms create contrast with the more natural character of the site.
Pathways and planting that connect the zones
Slate stepping stones and corten steel beds create a deliberate route through the garden. These details provide a gradual connection between the pool, fire area and wider landscape instead of leaving the spaces isolated.
Completed Scope
Built elements that give the project its character.
- Circular plunge pool with glass fencing and poolside terrace
- Brick paving and fire bowl entertaining area
- Slate stepping stone pathway through planted garden zones
- Corten steel garden beds and layered landscape edges
- Pool and entertaining layout designed to retain valley outlooks
The Outcome
A landscape with a stronger sense of place.
The finished retreat provides a compact but richly detailed pool and entertaining setting that feels connected to the Currumbin Valley landscape and ready for year-round use.
